We move individuals and families from homelessness toward stable housing opportunities using the Housing First Model. Several separate homeless programs may be available, depending on funding and consumer demographics.
Medicaid Vaccines for Children (VFC) and Private Vaccines are offered in Fillmore, Jefferson, Saline and Seward Counties. All clients must make an appointment and have their insurance eligibility confirmed prior to receiving any vaccines. Walk-ins are NOT accepted at this time. Please bring your insurance card to each visit.
Low-income families are able to reduce their energy bills by making their homes more energy efficient through our weatherization services.
We promote housing stability among very low-income Veteran families who reside in or are transitioning to permanent housing. Through the provision of outreach and case management, assistance is given to obtain VA benefits and other public benefits.
For youth who are homeless or at imminent risk of becoming homeless. We work together with youth to identify and obtain housing, work on retaining that housing, connect to supports and resources, and address the issues which led them to the homeless ituation.
We sell clothing, household, and other miscellaneous items donated by the general public at thrift stores for the general public.
We distribute donated perishable and non-perishable food, household items, and paper products, distributed to families and individuals in emergency situations. Several centers receive donations of USDA food from the Lincoln Food Bank.
